Questions people ask us
How can I check for a hidden leak myself?
Close every tap, note the meter reading, wait at least an hour (after any roof tank has filled) without using water and read it again. If the number moved, there is a leak somewhere after the meter.
Will you hack my whole bathroom?
No. Detection exists to avoid that. The aim is to open one small area at the leak point.
Can leak detection prove the leak came from the unit above?
Our report gives evidence: photos, moisture readings and test results. In a condo, the formal decision is the JMB or MC's Certificate of Inspection (Form 28), and we can test the upper unit only with that owner's consent.
Is there a charge if you only inspect?
Leak detection is a paid job in itself because it needs equipment and time. If you only need an on-site look before deciding, the inspection fee is RM50 and is deducted if you go ahead with the repair.
