Questions people ask us
Can I use chemical drain cleaner first?
Avoid strong caustic cleaners in toilets and PVC lines. They rarely clear a solid blockage, they can damage old pipes, and they make the work dangerous for the plumber.
Why does my condo floor trap smell?
Usually the water seal in the trap has dried out or the trap is partly blocked with hair and soap. Pour water in weekly; if the smell stays, the trap needs cleaning.
Do you clear blockages in the common sewer line?
Blockages in shared lines in condos are the management's job. We can confirm where the blockage is and give you a report to bring to management.
Will the plumber go into the sewer manhole?
No. Sewer manholes can hold toxic gas, so we never enter them. We work from the opening with a drain machine or water jetting, and refer sewer-line faults to Indah Water or management where needed.
